Deutsches Wochenende 2008

Deutsches Wochenende 2008
"Mein Haus ist dein Haus"

14.-15. November 2008
Camp Caraway, Asheboro

More Information (to be updated):

Dear High School and Middle School teachers of German,

Marilyn Metzler and Jim Propst are organizing the 2008 Deutsches Wochenende which will be held November 14-15 at Camp Caraway in Asheboro. The camp, whose theme is Mein Haus ist dein Haus, begins at 5 p.m. on Friday and ends by 5 on Saturday. Since the intent is to have everyone speak only German for these 24 hours, preference will be given to students in level 3 and above, but highly-motivated level 2 students may also apply.

Please check back here for updated information.

Send an email response by September 26 to Marilyn Metzler -- it should include a list of students committed to attending as well as their gender and level of German. (Note there is no particular form for this.) Within the following week I will notify you if we have room for all, and you can begin collecting the $55 checks (made out to the CHHS German Club). These must be received no later than October 17 and refunds will not be possible.

It would be great to see some new faces this year, so encourage your colleagues to bring some students. If you have questions, contact Marilyn Metzler or Jim Propst.

Alles Gute!
