Dear Colleagues,

Please join us for the Fall Conference under the leadership of Ingeborg Walther at Duke University in Durham, Saturday 23 September, 2000. The topic is drama in the classroom and we will continue our discussions about ways to promote German studies in the state of North Carolina.

There will be NO CONFERENCE FEE, but please bring money for lunch (ca. $5.00 -- remainder of the costs will be underwritten by the German Department of Duke University). I would appreciate it, if you would send me an email reply by Friday 15 September, 2000 letting me know whether you will be attending. (If you prefer, you may also fax your confirmation to me at 336.334.5406).

Bring any ideas you may have on the two topics: drama in the classroom and promoting German programs (i.e., GERMAN DAY). You may also send your ideas to me electronically so that they can be posted to our web site. If you know of any web sites that deal with these topics you may send them to me and I will incorporate them as well.
